Second edition of the festival CULMEA: Film and Environmental EducationIt takes place between October 16 and 20, in Brasov, and is the first film festival that aims to use film education in support of children and young people who want to know more about the environment and the climate crisis and to provide them with a tool for debate and engagement.
Short film program for 14-18 year olds - perfect for high school students
The short film course for high school students lasts 60 minutes and is followed by a guided discussion with a cultural mediator from CULMEA team. We encourage you to come with the class for a one-hour program that includes watching short films and a guided discussion by a mediator experienced in working with young people. They will learn more about what they have watched, about themes in the films, and will be able to ask questions to satisfy their curiosity about the films, characters, animation techniques or themes addressed.

The price of a ticket is 5 lei for children and 10 lei for adults.
The screenings take place at Olimpia - the Museum of Mountain Sports and Tourism (George Coşbuc Street No. 2) and the entrance ticket to the film also allows you to visit the museum.

And on Friday 18 October from 15:00 the workshop WeLove Brașov will take place: Youth proposals for a greener city
This workshop aims to involve young people in a dialogue about how the city of Brasov can adapt to climate change and become greener and generate recommendations for the municipality. Participants will explore the local plan of the Brasov City Hall and contribute ideas for improvement through brainstorming exercises and team activities.The workshop includes presentations by WWF-Romania, followed by practical exercises to identify the challenges and resources available for concrete actions in their community. Participants will work in teams to develop and select the best ideas that can transform the city of Brasov into a model of urban sustainability. At the end, participants will have the opportunity to support the campaign #WeLoveSolutionsby voting and distribution of communication materials. The event ends with a Q&A session.
