Timișoara devine gazda unui festival de film cu totul special: CULMEA – Film & Educație de Mediu, un eveniment care aduce pe marele ecran povești despre curaj, empatie și responsabilitate față de planetă.

Sâmbătă și duminică, 25–26 octombrie, vă așteptăm la Cinema Modern Brașov cu o selecție de filme pline de culoare, umor și emoție, pentru toate vârstele. De la fluturi visători și exploratoare curajoase, până la pisici fără frică și păpădii cosmice — weekendul CULMEA promite o adevărată sărbătoare a imaginației și a legăturii dintre oameni, animale și natură.

De la un nor mic și timid care schimbă viața pădurii, la un imens cartier unde oamenii și păsările trăiesc cot la cot, și până la povestea emoționantă a unei fete din Kenya care se confruntă cu schimbările aduse de criza climatică – aceste filme aduc în fața copiilor teme esențiale despre apă, natură și felul în care locuim împreună pe aceeași planetă.

Din Coreea până în Cehia și din Marea Britanie până în Franța, aceste filme îi invită pe copii să descopere biodiversitatea, să aprecieze locurile verzi, să înțeleagă importanța grijii pentru animale și să viseze la lumi în care natura și oamenii trăiesc împreună în echilibru.

Stele căzătoare, tuneluri magice, vise pline de culoare și lecții despre grijă față de natură – toate prind viață în aceste scurtmetraje premiate, potrivite pentru copii.

Filme pentru toate vârstele, discuții ghidate şi ateliere creative fac parte din programul celei de-a treia ediții CULMEA: Film și Educație de Mediu, care se va desfǎșura în perioada 22-26 octombrie 2025 la Cinema Modern din Brașov (Bulevardul Griviței 65). Festivalul propune şi proiecții dedicate pentru comunitățile de copii şi tineri de la Casa Bunǎ Sânpetru, EduBuzz Augustin şi studenții Universității Transilvania din Braşov între 20-22 octombrie.

The second edition of the first environmental film festival aimed at children and young people will take place in Brasov from 16 to 20 October 2024.

Sunday, September 8 took place in Brașov Steps towards a greener Brasov. How we demand reforms and how we protect the positive measures in the city, the first Climate Walk organized in the city by CULMEA: film and environmental education in partnership with Street Delivery Brasov.

The CULMEA team launches the fourth edition of CULMEA Cinemateca on the weekend of 6-8 September in Brasov within the Street Delivery festival. Coming to the end of the four-issue series, Cinemateca in September explores one of the most important themes for the new generation: environmental activism.

During 2024, the CULMEA team will propose a catalog of films (short and feature films) on topics such as biodiversity, food waste, fast fashion and activism. The monthly screenings at CULMEA Cinema create a context for the development of a community of children, young people and adults who are informed, curious and willing to imagine a different future.

The first environmental film festival aimed at children and young people, takes place in Brașov, from 6 to 10 September 2023

The textile and fashion industry is the second most polluting industry in the world. Whether your clothes no longer fit or are out of style, 57% of discarded, unsold and used clothes end up in landfills. As clothing degrades in landfills, it releases methane, a powerful greenhouse gas that is 28 times more powerful than carbon dioxide.

In Romania, 6,000 tons of food end up in the garbage, meaning that one in three meals a day is wasted. One of the solutions by which we can prevent waste is to reconnect with food, so the second edition of CULMEA cinema, which has as its theme FOOD WASTE, will equip us with concrete tools to reduce waste and bring back the joy of meals in the community.

We are looking for museum educators, teachers, cultural workers (NGO and institutional environment) or students (journalism, psychology, educational sciences, cinema — photography, etc.) who want to become facilitators of education for film and the environment.
